Years ago, I did my research and found that Unequal was really the only company that offered a heart-guard that had clinical trials and was shown to have some effectiveness against Commotio Cordis. I purchased a shirt for my son who was a pitcher through high school and wore it every game. He has since continued on as a pitcher in college and still wears the shirt. There have been no complaints from him about comfort during this time. I know that there is nothing that is 100% effective, but as a parent it does give me a little piece of mind that he has some level of protection.
