IMPORTANT - MEASURE THE PLAYER’S CHEST TO PROPERLY SIZE: Please do not assume sizing as you would typically when ordering apparel. The Unequal shoulder pads are not sized as a normal garment and proper coverage is of paramount importance. Players 5’8 - 6’2 tall & weighing between 145-155 may still be sized as SMALL in the Unequal chest protector. Chest measurements determine the correct size to help ensure fit & maximum safety.

HOW TO SIZE

MEASURE: Place a tape measure under your arms at the fullest part of your chest, wrap around your body until your fingers meet and mark the measurement. See sizing chart - locate player’s measurement within the various ranges of SMALL, MEDIUM, or LARGE.

SMALL = 26 to 36" Chest Size
MEDIUM = 37 to 45" Chest Size
LARGE = 46 to 52" Chest Size

Proper fit of chest protector will verify coverage of heart, sternum, collarbones and down to the bottom of the rib cage. Adjustable and removable side rib protection can be comfortably positioned for desired coverage without restricting ease of arm movement. Sufficiently tighten all adjustable straps to ensure shoulder pads are snug and stay firmly in place during play.

Best Chest Protector for Goalie

Could not be more impressed with the quality and fit of the chest protector. Incredibly comfortable for my son and quality well exceeds other brands he has previously used. Most importantly when i talked to Kyle at HQ he spent 30 minutes on phone making sure i understood the functionality and even offered to customize it should i ever want to stop by their offices. Incredible customer service. 5 - stars plus. Best equipment on market.

Quality - No doubt about it, as soon as you pick it up you can tell how well it is designed. It is stiff but very comfortable. Performance = I took a few shots to the chest tonight and barely felt them. Playing Men's pick up and playing against former and current college players. Definitely feel protected wearing this. Value / Price - At the same price point as other chest protectors out there and will obviously last a long time. Customer Service - Top notch, with an issue regarding state tax for a state with no state tax, after a quick call, the problem was resolved while I was still on the ordering page. Thank you! Summary - As a 53 year old goalie, I've worn everything from the old white & red Brine to the recent SEI certified chest protectors. This is very comfortable and provides the best protection of all of them. Feeling this well protected no doubt increases the confidence level in goal. I highly recommend this to any goalie. I am 6 feet and 220 lbs and the large fits perfectly.

The new NOCSAE standard is not mandatory in Australia yet but I have been looking for a while to upgrade my son goalie chest Protector and all of them seem so bulky. My son plays in jnrs and has started training/playing with seniors where the shots are a lot harder. He absolutely loves the unequal CC Chest protector - he loves how slimline and light it is on him. It protects his heart but also enables him to rely on movement to make saves rather than rely on the bulky pads. The optional rib pad is a huge bonus as my son is a left hander so it protects his right side. Wish I bought the next size up as well because shipping cost to AUS is a killer. Overall he loves loves loves the product !
