Proper fit of chest protector will verify coverage of heart, sternum, collarbones and down to the bottom of the rib cage. Adjustable and removable side rib protection can be comfortably positioned for desired coverage without restricting ease of arm movement. Sufficiently tighten all adjustable straps to ensure shoulder pads are snug and stay firmly in place during play.

good product, not a great productI’m going to start off saying that there is no perfect goalie chest protector on the market. The ones I have tried are either too long, too loose, not enough adjustment points or just fit awkwardly. I like the Unequal because of the solid adjustment system and the modularity, you can truly make it to fit you. It does have a break in period as when you purchase it, it’s as stiff as board. I recommend playing with malleability for a while trying to curve it to your torso, it makes it 10x more comfortable on the first wear. The cons are that it is extremely heavy for what it is. Other protectors on the market use a plastic chest piece reducing weight. The unequal protector uses a thick middle section to protect your heart. That makes it inherently heavier but also not quite as bulky. My other problem is that there’s not enough range of motion near the rotator cuff section, other protectors have ample cutout section for superior ROM. Overall I think it’s the best option for me simply because of the length not interfering with my rather large hockey goalie cup.

Overall a good chest padBit to thick for my liking and is tighter than most pads I’ve worn, though doesn’t get in the way as much as others
