INSTALL:
STEP 1
From the open ended back, pinch and compress sides together and allow for middle section to rise above sides. Middle MUST rest above side sections to be effective
STEP 2
While compressing the Uncap with the green padded side facing you, place it in inside of the cap so that the open ended section is located in the back of the cap. Tuck the Uncap underneath the hat's sweatband so that the bottom of the shell rests between the sweatband and the inside of the cap. Fold the entire sweatband over the Uncap. Not even close to fitting
My son is a true 6 7/8 and this squeezed his head when we tried to fit it into his hat! Likely great protection but it looks like a skateboarders helmet and trying to fit that into a baseball cap is impossible unless it is a flex cap.

So far so good
My son got it out of the box and went straight to his game. 9k's in 4 innings of work and said he could tell it was there and it would take some getting used to but it felt secure enough and didn't negatively impact his pitching ability. For a Coach who's also a parent that's great news! I feel better about him being a pitcher with the protection offered by 320 degrees of coverage as opposed to plates or partial frontal lobe coverage. You can barely tell he has it on too. Great buy!!!

Uncap
Two years ago I purchased the “Uncap” from Unequal for my then 10 year old son who pitches. I felt like i was being “Helicopter Parent” as none of his teammates had the Uncap. Some type of ball to the head was like being struck by lightning. Well lighting had struck! While he was pitching in a 12U Tournament, my son took a hard come backer to he left side of his forehead. We were trying to process what was happening as it unfolded before our eyes. The air was sucked out of the room, as all the parents gasped, as we saw and heard the crack of the ball off his head. While on the pitchers mound my son appeared stunned as he was trying process the shock as to what had just happened. He appeared to have had his bell rung! While both coaches, and umpires rushed him on the mound, he was still standing, and made a fist and began to knock his head as to signal his coach that he was ok, because his coach knew he was wearing his Uncap. He was able to regroup and was able to finish the inning. We are so thankful that this event didn't end up in the ICU with a head or brain injury. He had a small bruise and was a little bit sore to the area, but it could have been much worse! We are thankful that we were able to find out about this product and have always used it while playing baseball NO EXCEPTIONS! Thank you to Unequal and to their Pursuit for product excellence! Gabriel
